As of 2014, Team 2914 has started mentoring programs with local community centers and middle schools. Each week, we send 2-3 team members to each school to teach underclassmen about robotics through the FLL curriculum. Furthermore, the team has hosted the D.C. FLL competitions in 2013 and 2014, working with elementary school and middle school teams in the DMV area. 

 

Besides our involvement with FLL, we also raise funds and bring attention to robotics through selling ornaments made by our laser engraver at our high school and at a local elementary school's Winterfest, selling 3-D printed phone cases, and selling apple cider at a Whole Foods.

 

In addition, team 2914 regularly communicates and have friendly matches with other DCPS FRC Teams
